    January is the Marmite of months; you either love it or hate it. Out of all the months it does certainly seem to drag on but with today being the 31st we've withstood it for another year. Personally I always quite enjoy January, I see it as a fresh start and get excited about what the year is going to bring.

    For me this month saw me make a shark themed birthday cake, an Italian themed dinner party and a very summery themed wedding tasting.

    Holding a wedding tasting on the second week of the year, trying to create a taste of summer is not ideal. Luckily I was feeding four very open minded people who were doing their best to imagine that it was not four degrees outside ,pouring with rain and almost pitch black regardless of the fact it was only lunch time. Fast forward six months from now and I am sure the sun will be shining and that day will seem a very distant memory.     New Year, New blog, (potentially new me) … January

    I have thought about starting a blog for a while now and seeing as it is a New Year (cue “New Year New Me” cliché statement) I thought I may as well give it a go now.  At this time I can’t promise how regular the blog posts will be, however with the optimism of January in mind I am aiming for a weekly post on a Tuesday and any more than that will be a treat for us all. 


    January has been described as the “Monday” of the months and looking outside at the dreary weather you can almost see why.  However I actually rather like January, I like the fact that it feels brand new and that anything is possible, a fresh start so to speak.  I know that every day is a new day and with that a new chance but you have to agree that starting a New Year is well something that only happens once a year.  With this in mind I aim to share new recipes, keep you up to date with latest work projects and try to even inspire you into cooking some of the recipes.
